I love Sherlock Holmes and have been an avid fan since I was about nine years old. So when I heard about this novel sanctioned by Doyle’s estate on another blog? Oh, excited doesn’t really begin to describe it!
I am unsure what this novel will be about but it sounds like it has been meticulously researched from Doyle’s canon, and is going to be one of those books that reads like it was written by Holmes or Watson.
Anyone else anxious for this book to be released besides me? And of course there’s the collection of stories later this month A Study in Sherlock to look forward to… and the new movie with Robert Downey Jr. in December!

I’ve been a Holmes fan since I was a kid too. Have you read any of Laurie R. King’s books on Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes? It’s a neat series.
